Safety is Everyone's Responsibility
Firearms will be unloaded, actions locked open, except when the shooter is in position on the firing line and the range is clear of fire
Firearms will be pointes in a safe direction at all times. Firearms on the firing range will be pointed directly down range at all times
Firearms may not be handled nor may shooters approach the firing line during a cease-fire. All shooters must stand up and leave the shooting benches at this time.
Regular cease-fires are called by mutual consent of all the shooters on the line. All firearms must be unloaded, actions locked open, and all shooters will observe the cease-fire. The cease-fire flag will be raised during this time.
Only after a cease-fire has been called and the cease-fire flag has been raised, may shooters proceed down range to check and change targets.
No one will be permitted to approach the shooting benches or handle any firearms while a cease-fire has been called. Only when the range has been cleared of all shooters will the cease-fire flag be taken down.
Each firing position on the firing line has a corresponding target frame (same color as the bench) directly down range. Each shooter must only shoot at his/her target. Portable target holders will be placed directly in front of the shooter's position, which is in line with the target that is at the (100) yard marker.
Only paper targets that fit inside the target frames will be permitted to shoot at, (cardboard or paper size 24" x 24"). Members are responsible for cleaning up after themselves. Anyone placing targets on the tires supporting the target holders will have their membership terminated and brought before the Board of Directors for review.
All shooters, while on the firing line, require eye and ear protection.
Members who deliberately shoot the yard markers or destroy club property will be brought before the Board of Directors for disciplinary action including revocation of membership.
Absolutely no fully automatic weapons are allowed, except for law enforcement training.
